On My Way

Written by The Lennon Bus

5:00 AM:  My Dad dropped me off at the airport in Milwaukee about 30 minutes ago….

I haven’t slept much, I spend last evening saying goodbye to the people that mean most to me: Mom and Dad, my brother Marek,  my best friends in the world, Rob, Dave, and Turner, and of course, Andrea.  For some reason when I say goodbye to her, I lose my cool and get emotional, she does too.

I got my ticket, props for the aisle seats.  Got through security no problem, props to the “Experienced Traveler” line.

Right now I am sitting at the gate, getting ready to board the flight that will start this new adventure for me.  Did I pack everything?  Let’s see…. iPod, toothbrush, toothpaste, plenty of socks, did I pack my lucky Mr. T t-shirt?  Yes I got it…. Whew!

The plane is boarding now… in a few short hours, everything will be totally different, and I am excited, and with that feeling comes nervousness…

I hope my hotel room has a bathroom.

Ok, good talk! Until next time!

Way to go Erik!  We’re proud of you (at your mother’s workplace)!  I’m interested in hearing about your new venture and I too hope your hotel room has a bathroom!!  When do we get to meet Andrea??  You might want to wait until this nasty cold front passes through before returning to Milwaukee.  I am glad to see that toothbrush and toothpaste were on your list - good job!

Wikid man… So cool to see you doing this shit.  Makes me want to leave my extremely boring job and do what you’re doing.

Erik…Sure sounds like an exciting job you have. I bet you meet a variety of people. I know your mom is very proud of you. I like hearing where the bus tours take you…  My 14 year old is a drummer and has been making his own videos on youtube…hopefully someday we can tour the bus he would love it.  Enjoy your journey!!  Gail Miller (coworker of Janina)..
