New York, NY, March 12, 2013 – The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is heading back to Austin, TX for this year’s SXSW, and will be parked at Aussie’s Grill & Beach Bar (306 Barton Springs Road) from Tuesday, March 12- Sunday, March 17th! The Lennon Bus will be live streaming several artist performances and interviews, which can be viewed using the Mobile Roadie app at http://road.ie/lennon-bus or online at http://www.lennonbus.org/live. Confirmed artists include: Gus + Scout, Blue Sky Riders (Kenny Loggins, Georgia Middleman, Garry Burr), Bernhoft, Gaby Moreno, and many more! The live sessions are powered by: NewTek, TodoCast and Clear-Com and the events are hosted by: True Religion Apparel, Avid, Mobile Roadie, Sony and Audio-Technica. The popular YouTube show, “What’s Trending” will also be broadcasting live from the Lennon Bus at 2:00 PM CT on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week! With a total viewership of over 19 million and close to 60,000 page subscribers, “What’s Trending,” hosted by Shira Lazar, has featured everyone from comedian Sarah Silverman to wrestling phenomenon John Cena and NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal and many more in between. The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit state-of-the-art mobile Pro Audio and HD video recording facility that provides hands-on experiences for students of all ages. In its 16th year of touring, the Lennon Bus features the latest audio and video technology, gear and products. The concept began as an offshoot of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, which is dedicated to providing opportunities for both professional and amateur songwriters around the world. The Bus travels across the U.S. and Canada year-round, providing free tours and workshops at schools, retailers, festivals, on tours with headlining artists, and at major industry conferences.

Yoko Ono has visited Liverpool to launch a bus which will tour Europe and be used by young people to make music. John Lennon's widow unveiled the bus at the Museum of Liverpool before it sets out for London and the rest of Europe. Young people will be able to take part in workshops and produce music, video and photography projects inside the bus's recording studios. Yoko Ono and Kerry Katona helped put a smile on the faces of young patients as they paid an emotional visit to Alder Hey. John Lennon’s famous widow pledged her support by agreeing to become an honorary patron of Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Mum-of-four Kerry also stopped by yesterday as part of a fundraising day for the West Derby hospital. The increasing accessibility of digital technology has led to an amazing expansion of opportunity in the art of digital storytelling. The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus has been at the forefront of this new media explosion, having produced daily video projects with students since January of 2001. The Lennon Bus puts state-of-the-art digital video equipment into the hands of workshop participants and teaches the entire digital workflow from storyboarding to web publication and DVD burning. Students leave the experience having shot, chopped, scored, and (most importantly) finished an entire digital video production. Using the latest cameras and professional hardware/software solutions including Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools, participants are exposed to the exciting world of digital videography and learn hot techniques of the trade. The accessibility of professional-quality technology is making it possible for millions of new voices to be heard and the John Lennon Bus is putting these tools into the hands of tomorrow's great digital producers.
