NEW YORK (September 28, 2015) – On October 6th, Yoko Ono and The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus (Lennon Bus), the premier, non-profit 501(c)(3) Pro-Audio and Video recording mobile studio that has been providing hands-on experiences for students of all ages since 1998, will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of John Lennon’s birth (born 10/9/40) with Imagine Peace: GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSⓇ attempt for the Largest human peace sign. Pre-registration is encouraged and open to the public for this free, family friendly event at http://imaginepeace.eventbrite.com.

Imagine Peace is part of the 2015 Lennon Bus New York City residency, underscoring the importance of music and arts learning for all children. Presented by Canon U.S.A., Inc., Juniper Networks, the industry leader in network innovation, Montblanc, and the NAMM Foundation, the residency kicked off at City Hall to announce the tour stops and music gear donations at public schools in each of the five boroughs.

On October 6th in Central Park’s East Meadow, more than 6,000 people are expected to come together to send a record-breaking message to the world. The celebration will include surprise musical performances, family entertainment and commemorative experiences supported by Lennon Bus partnerships. At 12:30pm FlyNYON will capture an aerial photograph of the peace sign.

Pledgeling, the non-profit mobile donation platform, will provide John Lennon fans with the chance to purchase limited edition Lennon 75th t-shirts with proceeds benefitting the Lennon Bus via its mobile messaging technology.

“There’s no better way to drive engagement, action and donations than through mobile messaging, which is why Pledgeling is excited to be chosen by the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus,” explained James Citron, CEO of Pledgeling.

Alongside the event, New York City bakery Baked by Melissa, will attempt their own world record with custom cupcake art featuring ‘Imagine Peace’ which will be made available to peace sign participants. The event is being produced in association with the New York City Department of Education, New York City Charter Schools, and official media partners iHeart Radio & Q104.3.
