Bus Announces First-Ever Freestanding Lennon Bus Studio Facility Provided to Fernando Pullum
Performing Arts School in Los Angeles
WHAT: Acclaimed songwriter Siedah Garrett (Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror”) and students from
the Fernando Pullum Performing Arts school write and record an original song in honor of Dr. King for Martin Luther King Day on board the John Lennon
Educational Tour Bus, where The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield and more have laid tracks.
Additionally, the Bus is announcing its first-ever pilot program for a freestanding Lennon Bus Studio facility
to be located in Los Angeles at the Fernando Pullum Performing Arts School. Beginning on Monday, January 18, 2010, 12 Apple computers from the Lennon Bus
will be provided to selected students who will be offered an intensive semester-long course to learn and become certified in Apple’s Logic software.
The program is made possible in part by the Digital Media Academy who is providing the textbooks and
certification tests to the high school students. At the end of the semester, one student will be given a DMA
scholarship to attend a week-long music and video production course this summer at UCLA, complete with room and board on campus.
